Training: Carpentry

Participants who attend continuously and complete the program will be eligible to receive industry credentials:  210 hours towards Carpentry Apprenticeship and an OSHA-10 Construction Safety card.

Participants will be provided with mock interviews and resume support and be connected with prospective residential & commercial carpentry/construction companies for employment opportunities near the completion of the program.

Dress Code/equipment required (out-of-pocket costs)

  • Work Boots (Walmart – approx. $40)
  • Must wear pants – no shorts
  • Short sleeve shirts – to tank tops
  • Safety Glasses: 1st pair supplied by GLTECH

Training Opportunity: Carpentry Program

The 210-hour program taught by Master Carpenters is “project-based”, and incorporates OSHA-10 Construction Safety training, tool/equipment safety training, and electrical code/theory toward your Apprenticeship.

Project-based skills taught include:

  • 10-hour OSHA
  • PPE Fundamentals of Hand Tools
  • Power Tool Safety
  • Shop Safety
  • Basic Framing
  • Stock Sizing and Identification
  • Finished Carpentry

Tuesday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Starts Tuesday, September 6, 2022

Eligibility requirements:

  • High school/ GED/ HiSET
  • Authorized to work in US
  • Unemployed/Underemployed
  • Mass Resident
