Under direct supervision; operates, maintains and repairs sewage treatment machinery and equipment. Makes routine laboratory tests and sewage at various stages of treatment in accordance with standardized procedures and adds treatment materials as required. Takes and records readings of instruments, makes adjustments in equipment as indicated, and maintains operations log. Checks machinery and equipment for malfunctions; repairs and overhauls machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintaining the treatment plant in a clean and orderly condition. May supervise personnel at a lower grade. Monitors control panels and adjusts valves and gates manually or by remote control in order to regulate the flow of sewerage; observes variations in operative conditions.

Performs duties in the construction, maintenance and operation of water systems and distribution systems throughout the city.

Maintains police buildings and related grounds in clean and orderly condition.

Maintains police buildings and related grounds in clean and orderly condition and tends furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water.

Bus Driver is responsible for providing transportation to and from Council in Aging for programs and outreach assistance and assisting seniors on and off the bus.

Assist the City Solicitor, Assistant City Solicitors and Workers ‘ Compensation Agent in investigation of claims of injured employees, takes statements from witnesses, prepares legal documents for court cases, processing medical reimbursements, attendance at hearings before various courts and Division Industrial Accident Board, prepares report on office activities and other related clerical duties as required by the City Solicitor.
