Automotive Services: March 15 – May 22, 2021 (200-hrs)

  • On-site Tu, Th & Fri (5-9PM) & Sat (8AM-2PM) = 20 hrs./week*includes online
    200-hour program is “project-based”, incorporates OSHA-10 Automotive Safety training, tool/equipment specific safety training, and a hands-on approach to learning automotive industry skills*taught by ASE Master Automobile Technician/ASE Advanced Level Specialist

Project-based skills taught include:

  • Auto Inspection / Oil Change
  • Tire & Wheel Service
  • Brake Inspection & ServiceAlignment Check / Electrical Operation
  • Engine Operation & Service / AC & Heater Checks
  • Drivetrain Operation / Transmission Operation
  • Vehicle Maintenance / Purchasing Parts
  • ASE Test Prep & proctored ASE certification exams

Participants will be connected with prospective Automotive Services companies for employment as automotive services technicians. 

Participants who attend continuously and complete the program will be eligible to receive industry credentials: (1) OSHA-10 Automotive Safety Card; (2) WD-40: Cleaning, Storage & Maintenance of Tools & Equipment; (3) Valvoline Motor Oil 101; (4) Valvoline Automotive Fluids 101; (5) Valvoline Automotive Chemicals 101; (6) Advance Auto Parts: Identifying Automotive Parts; and (7) Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) basic certification areas – up to five: Brakes, Electrical, Engine Performance, Suspension/Steering, and Maintenance/Light Repair

Dress Code/equipment required (out-of-pocket costs)

  • Steel-Toe work boots (Walmart – approx. $40)
  • Face Masks (reusable w/filter or medical/single use)
  • Work gloves: supplied by Nashoba Tech
  • Safety Glasses: supplied by Nashoba Tech
