The NAMC CNC Machine Operator training program is a pre-employment introduction to precision machining averaging 250-300 hours and including hands-on technical training, shop math, metrology and inspection, blueprint reading, and OSHA 10 General Safety. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level CNC Machine Operator, Quality Control Inspection, and Manual Machining positions in a variety of companies and industries, as well as for office-related engineering and purchasing support roles. The objective is meaningful and sustainable careers in Advanced Manufacturing, with pathways for advancement in the industry.

Course Content: OSHA 10 General Industry, Safety and Health, Math for Machining, Metrology and Inspection, Blueprint Reading, GDT, Machine Shop and Safety, Tooling U Online, Manual Lathes and Mills, CNC Lathes and Mills, Exposure to Master CAM, Career Planning / Career Readiness

Career Pathways: CNC Machine Operator, Entry Level Setup and Operation, Quality Control Inspector, Manual Machining

Eligibility: H.S. diploma or GED, 18 years or older, unemployed or underemployed
