WATER UTILITY SKILLED MECHANIC
Under the direction of the Head Mechanic, assists in the supervision and participates in the overall maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant and its related support functions.
STAFF ENGINEER
The Staff Engineer provides technical support and project management assistance to the Executive Director, and other division staff.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
The Community Development Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of components of Lowell’s Consolidated Plan, the Annual Action Plans, data entry and data management requirements of the HUD Integrated Disbursement and Information Systems (IDIS), and grant management.
SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSE
Assists school physicians in medical examinations of school children; interprets findings to parents and teachers and assists in securing correction of defects.
Health Education and counseling; Providing skilled nursing to medically fragile students; Detects health problems through inspections, observation, interviews, and analysis of records; instructs others in recognizing and reporting deviations from normal growth development. Interprets public health policies, programs, services and regulations. Participates in field instruction of student nurses; attends in-service training institutes and conferences. Assists physicians in child health examinations and immunizations; interprets findings; arranges for necessary referrals; instructs in child hygiene, feeding and sanitation. Assists in mass immunization programs and in continuing programs for the control of communicable diseases through isolation, quarantine and immunization.
Obtains case histories; assists in medical examinations; administers tests and prescribed medications.
CIVIL ENGINEER GRADE 3
Works with the City Engineer and staff on a variety of municipal engineering projects as direct by the City Engineer and Commissioner of Public Works.
CROSSING GUARD
Controls and directs motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic in locations as assigned by the Traffic Bureau. Uses arm and hand signals or manually operates traffic lights. May make reports of accidents or unsafe traffic situations. Must have the ability to report to various assigned locations throughout the City.
