Guest Speaker: The Art of the Video Interview

Video interviews are a staple of the hiring process. Many employers turn to them as the first eye-to-eye contact with job candidates. For some employers, it’s the only contact they have with candidates before hiring them. This is why mastering video interviews is so important. Yet, some job seekers take them lightly, not realizing the role they play in the hiring process. Are you one of them? Do you understand the technology of video interviews? Are you aware of the questions interviewers will ask? Then there are asynchronous interviews which are intended to speed up the interview process. They are conducted without interviewers being present. Are you aware of these types of interviews?

Our guest speaker, Paula Christensen, will discuss these two types of interviews. She will shed light on how to better prepare and succeed in these interviews.

Paula Christensen is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and Certified Employment Interview Consultant with Strategic Career Coaches, a company she founded in 2015. She helps clients by leveraging the real- world experience and candidate differentiation tools she gained while working for over a decade as a corporate recruiter. Paula holds six career management certifications and belongs to the NRWA, CDI, and PARW-CC. She takes great pride in earning two TORI awards and having resume samples and career advice published in three resume writing and job search books.
