This free course is designed to provide the Certified Nursing Assistant with an expanded knowledge and skill set related to the holistic care of adults, specifically in a medical-surgical hospital setting.
What You Will Learn
ain knowledge and skills to prepare for the care for a range of adult clients including those with enteral feeding tubes, orthopedic surgeries, special respiratory and neurological care situations. CNA’s role in caring for adult clients with chronic and acute illnesses. Special focus will be on recognizing signs to report to the nurse and accurate measurement of vital signs and calculation of fluid balance.

- Mondays, May 6 – May 20 (4:00 pm to 9:00 pm), Online with class meeting times
- Wednesdays, May 22 & May 29 (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm), Lowell Campus, Derby, Room 302
Eligibility
- Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant
- Must have H.S. diploma or GED
- Unemployed or underemployed
